Business systems linked together by lines of data.

API Integration for NZ Businesses

We write custom code that connects Xero, your CRM, your online store, POS and couriers. Data moves both ways, errors get caught and every connection is tested.

Our API Integrations

The Connections We Build Most

Most businesses run on a handful of systems that were never designed to talk to each other. We write the code that joins them up, using each system's API and webhooks. Your team keeps the tools they know, and the double handling stops.

Xero and Accounting

Online orders, trade orders and job sheets become Xero invoices with the right GST, account codes and contact. Payments flow back so your other systems know what's been paid.

Shopify, WooCommerce and POS

Products, prices and stock stay the same in your online store and your shop counter. Sell the last one in-store and it's gone from the website a moment later.

CRM Integration

Customers, deals and orders match between your CRM and the rest of the business. Sales can see what a customer has bought, and accounts can see who sold it.

Couriers and Trade Portals

A paid order books the courier and prints the label. Trade customers order through their own portal, and those orders land in your system ready to pick and invoice.

Two-Way Sync

One Set of Numbers Across Every System

Picture a parts supplier that sells online, over the counter and to trade customers. Every channel has its own stock count, and none of them agree. Staff spend Friday afternoon fixing Xero by hand.

A two-way sync fixes that. Each change in one system updates the others, and we agree up front which system has the final say for each piece of data.

  • Webhooks push changes the moment they happen, not once a night.
  • Matching rules stop the same customer turning up twice.
  • Reporting. With clean data in one place, a React reporting dashboard can show sales and stock on one screen.
Plugin or Custom Code

Off-the-Shelf Connector vs Custom Integration

A ready-made plugin is fine when it does exactly what you need. When it doesn't, this is where custom code earns its keep.

We build our integrations in Node.js back-end code. For simpler jobs you'd like to see and tweak yourself, an n8n workflow may be the better fit. See all our business automation services.

Your Existing Systems

Connect What You Have, Don't Replace It

Plenty of businesses already have a system they rely on. An ordering portal built years ago. A POS the staff know well. A CRM full of history. Ripping those out is costly and risky.

We learn how your setup works first, then build the missing link. If a system has a good API, we use it. If it doesn't, we can add a small one or set up careful scheduled imports. Either way, your team keeps working the way they do now.

Built to Keep Running

Error Handling, Alerts and Tests

An integration you can't trust is worse than none at all. So we build ours to cope when things go wrong, because sooner or later a system will be slow, down or sending odd data.

  • Retries. If Xero or a courier is busy, the integration waits and tries again.
  • Alerts. If it still fails, a person hears about it with the details to act.
  • Logs. Every sync is recorded, so you can see what moved and when.
  • Secure keys. API keys are stored safely, never in a spreadsheet or email.
  • Automated tests. A change at one end won't quietly break the other.

You get the code and written documentation at handover. Read client reviews or ask about ongoing website management to keep it all looked after.

Getting Started

One Connection at a Time

You don't need to connect everything in one go. We start with the link that wastes the most time each week, like getting online orders into Xero. Once it runs well, we add the next one.

It starts with a free chat. Then you get a fixed written quote for each phase, so you know the cost before work begins. You own the code, and you deal with a local team in your time zone.

Frequently Asked Questions – API Integration

What is an API integration?
Most business software has an API, a door that lets other programs read and write its data. An API integration is code that uses those doors to move data between your systems, so an order in Shopify becomes an invoice in Xero without anyone retyping it.
Which systems can you connect?
Common ones are Xero, Shopify, WooCommerce, POS systems, CRMs like HubSpot and Pipedrive, courier services, warehouse stock systems and trade or wholesale ordering portals. If a system has an API or webhooks, we can usually connect it. We check yours in the first chat.
We already have a custom ordering portal. Do we need to replace it?
No. We connect to what you already run. If your portal has no API, we can often add a small one, or use careful scheduled imports and exports instead.
What happens when one of the systems is down?
The integration retries on its own and logs every attempt. If it still can't get through, it alerts the right person with enough detail to act. Nothing is silently lost.
Who owns the code?
You do. We hand over the code, the documentation and the logins. We're happy to keep looking after it, but you're never locked in.
Should we use n8n or a custom integration?
n8n suits workflows you want to see and tweak, like lead follow-ups. Custom code suits high-volume or two-way syncs that must be exact, like stock levels across several channels. Many businesses use both, and we'll tell you which fits each job.
